Virtual Machine Overview

Tenants can allocate Virtual Machines of various flavors, which are created by the Super Admin (GPUaaS provider). Each flavor includes certain number of resources (CPUs, GPUs, Network ports and so on).

The Virtual Machines are needed if the tenant user requires fewer GPUs than the available count of GPUs on one single node, but with the same level of isolation as provided by Bare metal servers (from other tenants).

For compute requirements in such scenarios, Virtual Machine with GPU pass through is allocated to individual tenants, with the required Network and Storage isolation. Thus, individual tenants owning a complete bare metal node or a VM instance should be able to communicate between themselves using the common network isolation technique.
